Direct information From Calypso on Friday, October 10. 2017:
When you arrive at the airport, look for a taxi at the airport to bring you to the dock, which is NOT the dock we used to work from. We are now at the dock by the police station near the bridge at Simpson Bay (like the old days). At the airport, there may be a driver at SXM named Fred holding a Calypso sign. If you see him, take hih- he's great! We will resume ground transportation again as soon as we can.
We're excited to announce some additions/minor changes to our schedule, effective Oct 10: Adding a 3:15 boat to SXM and 4:00 boat to Anguilla to the schedule
Now operating on Sundays as well - 7 days a week
Here's the updated schedule + arrival info:
AXA to SXM: 9:45am, 11:30am, 3:15pm
SXM to AXA: 10:30am, 2:30pm, 4:00pm
One Way Rates: $65 USD p/p; ages 12+$35 USD p/p; ages 1-11 / infants free
Customs & Immigration in AXA is at the building housing the police station in Blowing Point
Updated AXA Departure Taxes: Non-belongers = $23 USD (not $28 as was pre-Irma) / Belongers = $8 USD
SXM curfew and state of emergency has been lifted, which we understand to mean that there are no restrictions on overnight stays. If we hear otherwise, we'll let you know.
Shopping in SXM - If you're traveling over to SXM to shop (we hear there's still some good shopping these days), be sure to keep receipts for everything you purchase. Customs in SXM is asking people to show receipts for their items upon leaving SXM for AXA and are searching bags. If you're coming from the airport, this will not affect you.
